Art corner
I am a self-taught, always evolving, hobbyist artist. I did not study art while growing up.
Throughout my childhood, I literally thought people who owned books were extremely wealthy and if you owned an encyclopedia set; well...you were pretty much the Rockafellers. Although I was never afforded the luxury of formal art instruction, I have always had an eye for beauty and a love for the arts. I began dabbling with painting simply to fill my home with artwork that I created to really personalize my home decor. I wanted to make my home feel like mine. Nothing wrong with that, RIGHT? I was born in Texas, raised in Texas, and truly love Texas! I did live in Pennsylvania for several years and enjoyed my time up North living in Amish Country and frequenting the surrounding areas. I’ve collectively attended 6 schools in pursuit of higher education (Texarkana College, Delaware County Community College, Lincoln University, West Chester University, Louisiana State University - Shreveport, Texas A&M University – Texarkana). My quest for higher education was an arduous journey that resulted in multiple degrees and professional licensures...not too shabby for a first generation college graduate!
I like to think of myself as a resilient, self-made woman, on a mission to save the world by assisting those who are suffering and in pain. I am a huge fan of Grey Gardens and yes, you may from time to time, see me in a homemade cape. My interest and hobbies include: music (listening and singing), reading, writing, poetry, photography, running, food, all things psychology or related to psychology, and being present with good company. My background and field of study is Psychology. I am currently in the planning stage of pursuing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
Art evokes emotions and speaks to the heart and soul. Please enjoy browsing my site and I do hope you will find something in my collection that speaks to your soul. I generally create for my own pleasure and home décor. Some items will be for sale periodically; others are just on here for you to view.
If I post any for sale, you will see it here. I don't typically share my art on social media. Art is personal, not made for likes. People who are close to me and come to my home, get to see my artwork.
